hi there/ update/ craziness

So...

I haven't blogged in quite a little while. For starters, I went to the beach last week and had zero, and I mean ZERO internet connection. I feel kinda bad for neglecting my blog, but I'm really excited to be back up and blogging again. Along with going to the beach last Monday, I also took my Senior picture and got my last parking pass (spot #1) which was kinda weird, but exciting. I cannot believe that all this is happening. Tomorrow I will be going to a meeting for my last year as a Freshman mentor, I will also be going to my last first cheerleading practice as a Cardinal Cheerleader (not to mention that it is Seniors only, and the fact that I am included is crazy!). I just can't wait to see what this year brings. Summer is just about over, and i will miss it, but this is going to be such a fun last year, it just know it. Although it will be really challenging, I'm just so excited to experience it along with all of my fellow seniors. So, I think I'm about to wrap up this post. Look forward to a posts on the beach, Chad's 18th Birthday, cheerleading adventures, and all that is about to happen as I begin SENIOR YEAR.

Today I'm a Shattered Fishtail Frenchie with a new camera.

SO...
I am a bad blogger. It's already Thursday and I haven't even typed blogger.com into my address bar. But I remembered today that blogging at least twice a week is one of my goals for July. I'm doing kinda okay on those by the way.

BUT ANYWAYS

Today I went with my mother for some mother/daughter time at the nail salon. I was soo excited. The last time I got my nails done was in 7th grade, and now I'm a Senior. So yeah, it's been a while. I could not decide what I wanted to do though. I really wanted to get neon pink on all of my fingernails and have both my ring fingers painted with a glitter nail polish. But when I got there I saw that they had silver shatter by O.P.I and I was like " I have to get this!" So I picked a hot pink ( "Va Va Voom" by Orly) as the base and silver shatter to go over it. Needless to say I was excited.

Then for my toes I just got French tips, which I love <3

Oh and to top off my whole wonderful day, I successfully did a fishtail braid & I got a new camera. I got the Samsung PL 120, it's the one with the two screens so you can see yourself if your taking  picture of yourself or with you and other people. So yeah, I am super excited :)

That's my day today. Tell me all about yours! :)

It Finally Hit Me

So...

Today it all hit me.

I finally came to the realization that I am a SENIOR.
A Senior in high school.
The final year has arrived.
And this realization is quite hard to believe.

I will soon be getting my senior pictures taken, working really hard on my last set of high school classes, picking a college to spend the next four years of my life at, being a senior leader in cheerleading, having my last year of cheerleading ever, and cramming fun times and wonderful memories with my fellow seniors and friends. Before I know it I will be going to my Senior prom, buying my cap and gown, and walking across a stage.

This is all beyond surreal. Like where did time go? I feel like I have 4 or 5 more years before all this should be happening. In a little over three months I will be 18 years old, an "adult". I don't know about you, but to me, I don't look like no "adult". No one in the Senior class does to me really. So that's really a weird thing for me to think about.

But even though this is crazy to me, it is also exciting. We wait so long to be here and when it comes we say, "Hey, don't go so fast."

But here it is, and here we are Senior Class of 2012.
Time to make this last year count!

Goodwill Trip & Some Random Good Finds

So...
You may or may not know, but I love goodwill. I am not ashamed to say that I do shop there, I mean, come on it's like a big yard sale (which I also love by the way). Like there is so much stuff for like crazy cheap, and sometimes I find some crazy good and cute stuff. Chad will tell you that when I go into goodwill I will get a cart and just walk around putting anything and everything into it that I like or maybe kinda sort like and will have the thing full in like 15-20 minutes. Then it takes me forever to sort through everything and find what I want and then of that stuff, find what I have enough money for. I always feel really bad leaving things behind that I want really bad. All in all I just have a super fun time in there, like I have way more fun than an individual should. So, the other day I went into Goodwill with Chad and I only had 4 dollars...and of course I found A TON of cute stuff. I went through the clothes and found like 5 things I wanted, I found 3 adorable purses, and A BAZILLION cute random things that could go in my room and like home decor stuff....and I only had 4..freaking...dollars. To my happiness Chad said that I could pick out either one shirt or one purse and he would buy it for me (what a sweetheart right?) and I had to go with this cute little floral tank top, I just couldn't go home without it.

Then I went and picked out 4 things to buy with my 4 dollars out of the little home decor section. I was looking for cute little things to put in my new bedroom when I get my new house, and I am on the lookout for vintage and vintage-esk pieces. I had come to the perfect place apparently.  So the things I picked out were as follows:

An old picture/painting that I fell in love with

A cute little flower shaped saucer/bowl which I have been on the look out for for quite a while.

A little gold elephant. I thought he was so cute! :)

And finally this little square container. (It's not really vintage, but I have been needing something like this for storage so I figured I'd get it.)

Chad was also nice enough to buy the little elephant for me, because it turned out that I wouldn't have enough money for everything. Again, he is so sweet!

And all my amazing things only cost me $3.21. A steal!

So, yeah, that was my successful goodwill trip and the things I came out of it with. Once I get some more money, I am for sure returning to pick up the stuff that I had to leave behind. I'm planning on selling some stuff and Platos Closet, and doing housework for mother so hopefully money will be coming my way soon! :)
